16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (2022)
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence starts out on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and runs through December 10, Human Rights Day. The Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace Archdiocese of Blantyre (CCJP) oversee its annual coordination. In most nations, Malawi included, there is a high frequency of violence against women and girls in all of its manifestations. The day increases awareness of the need to eradicate all types of gender-based violence.
The day is supported by CCJP by creating and executing initiatives within the Archdiocese to encourage the abolition of violence against women and girls. In order to do this, CCJP also continues to interact and work together with partnering organizations and other technical organizations. The CCJP is likewise dedicated to eradicating gender-based violence by fostering an environment at work that respects everyone’s rights and has zero tolerance for violence against women, girls, and children.
